# What You'll Need:

01 - 1.5 lbs ripe tomatoes, sliced
02 - 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
→ Cheese
04 - 4.5 oz fresh mozzarella, torn or sliced
05 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
→ Herbs & Seasoning
06 - 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
07 - 1 tsp dried oregano
08 - 1/2 tsp dried basil
09 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
→ Garnish (optional)
10 - Fresh basil leaves
# How to Make It:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F.
02 - Lightly oil a medium baking dish. Arrange half of the tomato slices in a single layer.
03 - Scatter half of the red onion and minced garlic over the tomatoes. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
04 - Distribute half of the mozzarella evenly over the vegetable layer.
05 - Repeat layering with remaining tomatoes, onion, garlic, seasonings, and mozzarella.
06 - Drizzle olive oil over the top and sprinkle evenly with grated Parmesan.
07 - Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until cheese is golden and bubbly and tomatoes are tender.
08 - Allow to cool slightly, then garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
